ANS: Blossoms are the pledges of the fruitful tree because a tree is committed to bringing forth beautiful flowers, fruits, leaves, etc. to be enjoyed by others like humans. Every tree promises to produce beautiful flowers in every spring season for us.


2. What is the poet's wish about blossoms?


ANS: The poet's wish is that blossoms should stay for a long time that everyone may get benefited from them that blossoms should not fall so fast.


3. What does  the poet mean by saying, 'why do you fall so fast'?


ANS: By saying 'why do you fall so fast' means to say that blossoms should not fall so fast but bloom for a pretty long time so that we may enjoy their beauty.


4. Why does the poet compare human life to blossoms?


ANS: The poet compares human life to blossoms because just a blossom appears for a little time to show their delight and beauty and then wither  in the same way humans are born, do some deeds, and then die and gild into the grave.

ANS: Some blossoming trees in the state of J&K are as under:

6. What is 'pity' referred to in the second stanza?


ANS: In the second stanza 'pity' is referred to the fact that blossoms bloom on the tree but after spreading their beauty and delight for few months they fade away and die.
